The corona crisis presents us all with unprecedented challenges. We at SGS also take the current developments and their impacts on our employees, customers, suppliers and business partners very seriously and meet up our social responsibility. Therefore, SGS has implemented numerous safety measures over the past few months. These measures ensure the health of our employees and the associated operational safety at our locations and at our construction sites.
There are currently more than 500 employees on 15 different construction sites in 5 countries. All ongoing projects could be continued in compliance with the legal provisions and they are running in full swing. Thanks to the engagement and flexibility of our assembly teams, who stayed mostly longer on the construction sites, we were able to ensure the continuation of the construction sites also in heavily affected countries such as the USA, England and Belgium. This means that our customers can count on us even in challenging times and are serviced satisfactorily. A big thank you to our site managers, senior fitters and fitters for your immeasurable work! We are proud of you!
The safety precautions also affect all SGS locations. In addition to the introduction of strict hygiene regulations, all employees were also given the possibility for home office. Since the beginning of June, we have been able to warmly welcome back most of the workforce. We also thank you for your commitment and your great engagement.
