The conversion of the Model Sachsen Papier paper mill – carried out by SGS – is shaping the future of paper production
Our Scope of Services
The project covered a wide range of services:
- Dismantling of the existing plant: 500 tons of cable, 100 tons of switch cabinets and cable support systems
- Electrical installation of all plant components
- Delivery and installation of EMSR for the paper machine, the OCC line (Old Corrugated Container) and reject processing
- Engineering and delivery for TGA
- Project management, planning, and on-site supervision
The following services were also provided:
- Complete lighting planning
- Installation of the fire alarm system
- Pneumatic hoses
We also took care of all material delivery, logistics, and material management. Our database enabled efficient cable and drum management as well as seamless organization directly on the construction site.
Special features of the project
This project presented several challenges: a very short construction period, parallel work by different trades in a confined space, and the need for a high level of coordination. Thanks to the excellent cooperation within the #SGSteam, as well as with the customer and other partners, all tasks were completed safely, on time, and successfully.
