Top engineering competence

SGS Industrial Services carries out another project in Poland at Forte Furniture, in the northeastern city of Suwalki. PAL s.r.l., the Italian company that supplied the system, is the client for this wood shaving treatment system. "We are responsible for the assembly of the entire outside premises," Project Manager Christian Hatzmann tells us. An outside premises that measures around 50,000 qm - aboutas big as 370 family homes put together. "The customer relies on our project management competences." More than 800 tons of material were installed in the steel structure alone. SGS is in charge of delivery coordination and scheduling tasks. "We will install all glue storage tanks as well as the entire wood shavings treatment system." A whopping 160 chutes have to be installed there. The contract includes the mechanical assembly. Construction works in Suwalki are in fullswing since late March. "For mechanical assembly, we deploy up to 60 workers at a time." The factory is scheduled to be completed in August 2017.
