For many years now, Siemens has relied on us as an experienced and reliable installation partner for gas and steam power plants. For one year, from May 2018 to May 2019 to be precise, our SGS team installed the electrical systems for a 270-megawatt electric and 230-megawatt thermal combined cycle power plant for Siemens in Berlin-Marzahn (CCHPP). A total of up to 90 employees were involved in this major project, processing around 300 km of cable.

Our project scope

At the Berlin construction site, we took care of the classic tasks of cable tray construction, cable pulling, measurement and control technology, cable connection, bus duct (generator discharge) and transformer installation, including oil filling. For our employees, however, the project was somewhat unusual: the power plant is located in the middle of the city. This meant that there were no parking spaces and the workers had to use public transport to get to the construction site.
